The historic Grandview Restaurant boasts terrific views of Santa Clara Valley. Nestled in the Eastern Foothills, the service at the restaurant is patchy, but the views are to die for. The vegetarian lasagna was good as was the extensive wine selection--the sunset views more than made up for the moderate service.
Grandview Restaurant was originally named Grandview House which was opened in 1884 as a hotel and tavern by Alanson Story. It served the Mt. Hamilton Stage Co. which ran scheduled trips from San Jose to James Lick Observatory.
